|
Trekking
in Tibet is hiking at altitudes of between
4390m/14400ft to 5150m/ 16,900ft.Most of the
trekking areas are arid haunting dry and wild
and take commitment. Trekking in Tibet Himalaya
is the most heavenly way of discovering natural,
cultural and historical treasures of Tibet.
Trekking in the valleys, over passes and through
arid open landscape of the Tibetan plateau is an
experience that you can't get anywhere else on
earth. Two of the most famous mountains in Tibet
are Everest and Shishapangma, a trek to the base
camp of one of these two mountains will give you
an experience of a lifetime. In Tibet, there are
several nice trekking routes for trekkers and
adventurers to take after their regular travel
in Tibet. We combine most of our treks with a
visit to Lhasa, the heart and soul of Tibet and
an object of devout pilgrimage a city of wonders
to give you the full insight in Tibet and its
people. Treks are in the main combined with
journeys overland by Land Cruiser. All our
trekking tours are fully catered camping
packages inclusive of an all support crew.
The best season for trekking in Tibet is from
May through the end of October. The weather
during these months is surprisingly mild, with
warm days and cool to chilly nights in the
mountains. The monsoon season is July to August
when more than half of Tibet's annual
precipitation occurs. This is also when the
mountains come alive with greenery and the
alpine areas become lush with wildflowers and
blooming bushes. In September the days are
cooler and the willow and poplar leaves begin to
turn yellow. October and November brings sunny
days and clear crisp nights with temperatures
often near freezing. The coldest time of the
year is December through February, but this is
also a time when Tibet experiences extended
periods of clear sunny weather. In the high
mountain areas the snowfall is generally too
high to consider winter treks. Here is some
information introducing main trekking in Tibet
but in fact there are much more.. |
