Starting form the foothills of Besi Sahar and rising to the settlement of Manang at [3,540m] in six days, the route continues to ascend and on the 10th day you will cross the famous Thorung La Pass at [5,416m] where you will marvel at the sight of marvelous Mustang peak and the snow-clad massiveness of Mt. Dhaulagiri [8,167m/26,795ft]. Starting to descend, you will have the chance to visit Muktinath [3,800m/12,467ft], an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists and wonder in admiration at the presence of 108 small waterfalls and mysterious natural gas fires. Descending further down, via Marpha into Kali Gandaki gorge, the deepest gorge in the world all the way to Tatopani and its natural hot springs, where you can relax with a dip in one of them. After witnessing fabulous mountain views from Poon hill in the early morning, it will be time of having farewell to the wonderful snow-capped Annapurna mountain range as you make your way to Pokhara.
