life as well. Horse riding offers you a unique

road and they use Ponies. People living there
are using horses to travel from place to place,

Mustang and Dolpo where people have adopted

It is believed that all miseries
/ sorrows are relieved once you
visit this temple (Mukti =
Nirvana or status of Liberty /
Free, Nath = God). The famous
temple of Lord Muktinath lies in
the district of Mustang and is
situated about 18-kms northeast
of Jomsom at an altitude of
about 3800 meter. The main
shrine is a pagoda shaped temple
dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Sets
into the wall around it are 108
waterspouts from which pour holy
water.

Langtang Pony Trek
|

The region north of
Kathmandu offers a multitude
of trekking destinations,
all accessible without
flights. The three major
areas are Langtang,
Gosainkund and Helambu,
which can be combined in
many different ways to make
treks from seven to 16 days
long. Langtang is a narrow
valley that lies just south
of the Tibetan border. It is
sandwiched between the main
Himalayan range to the north
and a slightly lower range
of snowy peaks to the south.
