Dhampus Peak Climbing

Dhampus Peak (6012m) lies North-East of the big Dhaulagiri massif, this peak is also known as a Thapa Peak. The normal route to Dhampus Peak follows the west-ridge, which connects Dhampus Pass (5200m), where our highest camp is placed, with the summit. This expedition exceeds the 6000 meter frontier; no technical climbing skills are required. The use of crampons depends on snow conditions. This means any experience in walking on snow/ice is advisable. During this trip you can enjoy the magnificent views of Summit offer the magnificent views of breathtaking scenery of Tukuche peak and Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna 1,2,3 & 4, Tilicho Peak, Nilgiri South & North, exploration beautiful hamlets around Kaligandaki valley and more snow capped mountains.

Our trek takes us across the kali Gandaki River and then north into the heart of the massif; from the base camp we come to the high point of our trek, the traverse of French Pass (5,360 m), the hidden Valley and Dhampus Pass (5182 m), a high level; route which brings us back to the upper Kali Gandaki Valley in Jomsom. From here we, either, fly back to Kathmandu via Pokhara or we can continue from Jomsom till Birethanti or to Pokhara
