Days 01 :
Arrive at Tribhuwan
international airport,
Kathmandu, you are welcomed
by the hospitable meeting
and then you will be
transferred to your hotel.
Short briefing will be
followed about necessary
formalities and rest of the
program. Depending on
arrival time you will have
choice of visiting nearby
sanctuaries or have a rest
day.
Days 02 :
After breakfast we drive to
Swoyambhunatha stupa has it
that Manjushree, found of
Kathmandu valley, and
discovered the lotus of
ancient valley lake on which
site the great stupa of
swoyambhunath was later
built. The omni sighted
stare of Buddha greets
visitors & residents a like
compassion. This is one of
the oldest Buddhist stupa in
the world, which has been
registered in UNICEOO
heritage side. We then visit
to Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Kathmandu durbar square
situated the center of
Kathmandu where you can see
the House of Living
Goddess”KUMARI” Kasthamandup
temple” Said that was built
from single tree in 16th
century, big bell-big drams,
erotic carving in old
temple, old palace etc. We
then finally were
sightseeing to Patan Durbar
Square. Patan Durbar square
is one of the beautiful
Durbars square in Kathmandu
valley. It is very famous
for woodcarving, Metal
works, Temples and
Monasteries. Tour of Patan
includes tour of Krishna
temple, Patan king’s palace,
Golden temple and much more.
Days 03 :
Breakfast served in the
early morning and drive to
Kathmandu airport for your
domestic flight to Lukla.
It's takes approximately 40
minutes. During the flying
may sometimes be seen from
the window of the plane many
of the world’s highest
mountains, including
Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and
Makalu (the world’s 3rd,
4th, and 5th highest
respectively). Upon arrival
in Lukla, you will meet our
trekking crews. There will
be time to explore the
village whilst the Sherpa
crew sort and load
equipment. Lukla lies at an
altitude of (2866m) and was
laid out by Sir Edmund
Hilary in 1964. From Lukla
we descend on a wide trail
northwest to the village of
Choblung in the Dudh Kosi
Valley. The valley radiates
energy through beautiful
pine and rhododendron
forest. The walking is easy
and we follow the river's
course, passing through the
village of Ghat. Our
destination is the small
village of Phakding where
accommodation is provided in
the form of Tea House
Lodges.
Days 04 :
From Phakding we head up
valley on a busy trail:
porters from the lower Solu
district in the south
ferrying supplies to Namche
Bazzar. Continue along
beside the Dudh Kosi amongst
beautiful alpine scenery,
through the fragrant blue
pine and fir forest,
glimpsing spectacular views
of Kusum Kangru (6369m) and
Thanserku (6608m) along the
way. We again cross the Dudh
Kosi, to the western bank at
Jorsale prior to trekking
through the entrance to the
Sagamartha National Park.
Continuing upstream along
the banks to the confluence
of the Bhote Kosi and Dudh
Kosi, it is here we begin
our first sustained ascent
to Namche Bazzar after
crossing the large
suspension bridge. Walking
at a slow pace, we have a
fantastic photographic
opportunity as the peaks of
Everest (8848m), Lhotse
(8511m), Nuptse (7879m),
Arna Dablam (6856m) and
Taweche (6542m) come into
view for the first time.
Climbing again, the path
takes us through pine trees
to reach the distinctive
horseshoe shaped bowl
containing the village of
Namche Bazar.
Days 05 :
This day you will take the
day off to allow your bodies
to adjust to the rarefied
atmosphere before ascending
to higher altitudes or
explore to the Thame
village. This is the
birthplace of Tenzing Norgay,
the Sherpa who made the
first ascent of Everest with
Hillary in 1953 and back to
Namche for the overnight
camp.
Days 06 :
From Namche Bazzar, we trek
out of the village bowl and
follow a small trail high
above the Dudh Kosi River,
where the views are
incredible; behind to the
west, the ridge of Nupla and
Kwangde Himal (6194m);
across the valley to the
south, the towering
ice-fluted walls of
Thamserku (6623m), and to
the east at the head of the
valley, the Lhotse and
Nuptse wall, towering a full
three and a half thousand
meters above the valley at
Dingboche. On a small ridge
across the valley, the
monastery of Thyangboche can
be seen, a small speck
against the gigantic
mountain background.
Afternoon we excursion to
Khumjung. O/N in Everest
view hotel at Syangboche to
celebrate the Christmas
festival..
Days 07 :
Excursion day in Syangboche.
Days 08 :
In the morning we descend to
the village of Shanasa and
then contour to Trashinga
where the trail drops
steeply to cross the Dudh
Kosi at Phukitenga (3250m).
A break is taken here by a
series of water-driven
prayer wheels. In the late
morning we initially climb
steeply before the trail
levels out to ascend
gradually towards
Thyangboche. It is a steady
ascent of approximately 2 ½
hours through pine fir,
black juniper and
rhododendron forest.
Thyangboche is set in a
beautiful meadow; high on a
ridge surrounded by towering
Himalayan peaks. A peaceful,
tranquil position, surely
one of the wonders of the
world and the Thyangboche
Monastery is spectacularly
situated. The monastery
dominated by the Gompa with
its prayer flags and Mani
stones was founded in 1916
as a meditation center.
Days 09 :
From Thyangboche, we descend
through a forest of birch,
fir, juniper and
rhododendron, to the nunnery
at Deboche. Keep an eye open
for Blood and Danphe
Pheasant and high on the
steep slopes of the valley,
Himalayan Thar (wild goats).
We cross the Imja Khola,
ascending gradually, with
the beautiful Ama Dablam
dominating the skyline, to
visit the monastery. The
afternoon walk follows a
trail high above the Imja
Khola. A little further
upstream we cross the
tributary stream and ascend
over glacial moraines to our
lodge in the 'summer
settlement" of Dingboche.
Days 10 :
Our journey this day brings
you to Dusa from where you
descend to a stream at
(4850m) we begin our climb
of the Khumbu Glacier
en-route to the teashops at
Dughla. Continue along the
moraine of the glacier, with
views of Kalarpatthar and
Pumori to reach Lobuche at
(4930m) for your evening
stay. This will be your last
stop before your climb to
the base camp tomorrow. Take
time to rest and acclimatize
for this unforgettable day.
Days 11 :
Walking in the Khumbu valley
alongside of Khumbu Glacier.
Lunch will serve at
Gorakshep then we start
walking along the glacier at
Everest base camp then back
to Ghorakshep for over night
camp.
Days 12 :
Weak up early morning and
walk up to Kalapatthar for
Sun rise Views of Everest,
Nupse, Lohtse, Pumori just
above and Khumbutse and
beautiful views of Khumbu
Glacier and back down to
Gorakshep and walk down to
Dingboche via Lobuche.
Days 13 :
Follow a similar trail
through a forest of juniper,
fir and rhododendron. O/N at
Everest view Lodge to
celebrate the New Year
festival.
Days 14 :
Following a steep descent
passing the Bhote Kosil,
crossing the river, follow
the bank to Jorsale and
lunch at Monjo. After lunch
we down to Phakding for
overnight stay.
Days 15 :
After breakfast, you will
depart from Phakding and
continue your descent along
the Dudh Kosi, before making
a final ascent to reach the
Lukla plateau by afternoon.
On arrival in Lukla you will
have time to relax and
celebrate the completion of
your trek.
Days 16 :
This morning you will be
transferred to Lukla Airport
for your flight back to
Kathmandu. On arrival in
Kathmandu, you will be met
and conveyed to the hotel.
The remainder of the day has
been left free.
Days 17 :
After breakfast drive to
Pashupatinath. The holiest
of holy Hindu temple in
south Asia is the focal
point of pilgrimage from all
over the sub-continent. The
holy river Bagmati flowing
nearby is the cremation
ground of the Hindus.
Funeral pyres can be viewed
from across the riverbank.
We then visit to Boudhanath
stupa. Probably the largest
stupa in the world is also
found in Kathmandu valley
the great stupa of
Boudhanath. Again the
omni-sighted eyes of the
Budha stare all the
directions. This stupa is
the place of worship of
Tibetan Buddhists
predominantly. We then drive
to Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Bhaktapur is one of the
oldest cities in Kathmandu
valley. It is well known as
Living Museum. Old brick
paved enclave of old Royal
palace, Nyathapola Temple,
Datatriya temple exquisite
artwork offers a picture of
the grandeur of medieval
Nepal. It is very famous for
woodcarving and pottery
products. Then after we have
short visit to Changunarayan
temple. This is one of the
oldest Hindu temples in
Kathmandu valley that exists
in the valley dating back to
the 4th century.
Days 18 :
After breakfast you will
have some free time until
the time to leave the
international airport for
your final departure.
