Nepal Adventure Point organizing the Christmas &
New Year festival's familiarization trip to
Annapurna region every year. This is our special
package trip combine our Annapurna trek with a
safari in the Chitwan National Park. This
adventure is a fine contrast between trekking
the remote foothills of the Annapurnas and a
safari in the Chitwan National Park. We trek
through traditional Hindu villages and pristine
forests to ridge top camps that afford
remarkable views of Annapurna South and
Machapuchare. At Chitwan we undertake a wildlife
safari in search of rhino and the Bengal tiger.
All the interested clients are requested to
register their trip at the Nepal Adventure Point
before the 4 weeks period of the trip date.

Detail Itinerary:
DAY 01: Arrive in Kathmandu:
Upon arrival at Tribhuwan
international airport, welcomed
by our representative and
transfer to hotel. The remainder
of the afternoon is at leisure.
A pre-trek briefing will be
given in the evening at hotel
about the daily program
activities by your Group
Leader/Guide.
DAY 02: Excursion around
Kathmandu: After breakfast the
day will start with a guided
tour of Kathmandu's historical
and spiritual key attractions;
including the historic Kathmndu
Durbar Square, the famous
'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath)
and then finally visit to Patan
Durbar square which is situated
the heart of the city
constitutes the focus of
visitor's attraction. In the
evening there will be pre-trip
discussion where you can meet
your group leader/guide then you
can ask any questions you may
have.
DAY 03: Kathmandu drive to
Pokhara: This morning we drive
out over the rim of the Kathmandu Valley before
descending to follow the Trisuli
River Valley. On a clear
morning, views of the Ganesh,
Manaslu and Annapurna ranges can
be seen as we head west to the
town of Pokhara. After a driving
journey of six hours, we arrive
in the early afternoon and check
into our hotel. The rest of the
afternoon is free to wander
around the shops or relax in one
of the cafes by the lakeside.
Alternatively there is the
option of a boat ride out on to
the lake.
DAY 04: Pokhara drive to Nayapul
and trek to Tirkhedhunga: After
breakfast from Pokhara we drive
to Nayapul (1050m) which is take
one and half hours drive then
your trek begin following the
path of Modi Khola passing
Birethanti (1115m), a large and
prosperous town. From there you
will reach Tirkhedhunga (1577m.)
which takes about four hours.
DAY 05: Tirkhedhunga trek to
Ghorepani: After breakfast your
trek begins from Tirkhedhunga.
The trail crosses Tikhedhunga
you could ascend continuing
steeply to the large Magar
village of Ulleri (2080m) and
climbs to Banthanti (2250m). On
the way, you could see good view
of Machhapuchhre or Fish Tail
(6997m.), Huinchuli (6441m.),
and Annapurna South ((7219m).
Now your trail easier passing
through rhododendron forest
gently climb to Nanggethanti
(2460m) and walking an hour
uphill you will reach Ghorepani.
On the way to Ghorepani you
could see some of the wild life
such as monkey and various
species of birds.
DAY 06: Explore day in
Ghorepani: Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3200m). This day you
can enjoy the sunrise view over
Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche
Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.),
Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt.
Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna
South (7219m.), Annapurna III
(7855m.), Machhapuchhre
(6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.),
Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung
Himal (6931m.) and other
numerous snowcapped mountain
peaks. At evening, we celebrate
Chirstmas Eve at Ghorepani.
DAY 07: Ghorepani trek to
Ghandrung Village: After
breakfast we start our trek. You
will climb to Gurung Hill,
crossing pine and rhododendron
forests with excellent views you
will trek down to Deaurali
(3190m), further trek down to
Banthati (2650m). Passing
Banthati trek down to the small
river and climbing up the trail
heads to Tadapani. From here the
trail descends steeply through
the forest to Bhaisi Kharka.
Then the trail further descends
to a stream, crossing the stream
the trail proceeds towards
Ghandrung, a beautiful village
where you can have excellent
views of Annapurna South and
also the headquarters of
Annapurna Conservation Area
Project.
DAY 08: Explore day in
Ghandrung: This day you will
take a trip around Ghandrung
valley. It really is a
magnificent location and a
photographer's delight. Our
leisurely approach along these
ridges with their fine mountain
views ensures proper
acclimatization and the
un-hurried opportunity to fully
savor this magnificent scenery.
DAY 09: Ghandrung trek back to
Pokhara via Naya Pul: The
morning views of Annapurna South
and Machapuchare are stunning,
and will remain with us as we
walk for around 4 hours on a
broad trail that traverses and
descends to Shauli Bazaar
(1140m), on the banks of the
Modi Khola. Passing through the
lovely birch forest you will get
to Birethanti an interesting
village with traditional
architecture, before continuing
to the road-head at the busy
market of Naya Pul. We transfer
by coach to Pokhara and evening
we will have a celebratory
dinner with our trek staffs.
DAY 10–12: Pokhara – Chitwan –
Kathmandu: You will proceed to
your Chitwan to enjoy the flora
and fauna of Chitwan National
Park, the oldest national park
in Nepal which is situated in
subtropical inner Terai lowlands
of South Central Nepal. In
Chitwan enjoy elephant back
safari, canoeing elephant ride
and breeding centre visit, bird
watching and see wild animals
like rhinos, peacocks,
crocodiles, deer’s etc. You will
visit deep in the national park
on elephant back. You will see
one-horned rhinoceros, several
types of deer, monkeys, wild
boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard
and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal
tiger. After 2-3-hours of
elephant safari, you can enjoy
canoeing river. Later in the
evening, you will enjoy Tharu
cultural program. The next day,
you will finish your tea/coffee
rather fast because you will be
going for bird watching. You can
have the most thrilling and
exciting wildlife experience of
your lifetime in Chitwan
National Park. You will be back
to Kathmandu the same day.
DAY 13: Excursion day in
Kathmandu: After breakfast drive
to Pashupatinath. The holiest of
holy Hindu temple in south Asia
is the focal point of pilgrimage
from all over the sub-continent.
The holy river Bagmati flowing
nearby is the cremation ground
of the Hindus. Funeral pyres can
be viewed from across the
riverbank. We then visit to
Boudhanath stupa. Probably the
largest stupa in the world is
also found in Kathmandu valley
the great stupa of Boudhanath.
Again the omni-sighted eyes of
the Budha stare all the
directions. This stupa is the
place of worship of Tibetan
Buddhists predominantly. We then
drive to Bhaktapur Durbar
Square. Bhaktapur is one of the
oldest cities in Kathmandu
valley. It is well known as
Living Museum. Old brick paved
enclave of old Royal palace,
Nyathapola Temple, Datatriya
temple exquisite artwork offers
a picture of the grandeur of
medieval Nepal. It is very
famous for woodcarving and
pottery products then after we
have short visit to
Changunarayan temple. This is
one of the oldest Hindu temples
in Kathmandu valley that exists
in the valley dating back to the
4th century. Evening celebrate
the New Year Eve at one of
typical Nepali restaurants.
DAY 14: Leisure day in
Kathmandu: This full day at
leisure to rest, relax or
explore the local area in Kathmandu or do a bit of last
minute shopping. You also have
the option of doing some
sight-seeing. Evening will have
farewell meeting & dinner at
Nepali typical restaurant.
DAY 15: Departure day: After
breakfast you will have some
free time until the time to
leave the international airport
for your final departure. |
