Days 01 :
Arrive at Tribhuwan
international airport,
Kathmandu, you are welcomed
by the hospitable meeting
and then you will be
transferred to your hotel.
Short briefing will be
followed about necessary
formalities and rest of the
program. Depending on
arrival time you will have
choice of visiting nearby
sanctuaries or have a rest
day.
Days 02 :
After breakfast we drive to Swoyambhunatha
stupa has it that Manjushree,
found of Kathmandu valley,
and discovered the lotus of
ancient valley lake on which
site the great stupa of
swoyambhunath was later
built. The omni sighted
stare of Buddha greets
visitors & residents a like
compassion. This is one of
the oldest Buddhist stupa in
the world, which has been
registered in UNICEOO
heritage side. We then visit
to Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Kathmandu durbar square
situated the center of
Kathmandu where you can see
the House of Living
Goddess”KUMARI” Kasthamandup
temple” Said that was built
from single tree in 16th
century, big bell-big drams,
erotic carving in old
temple, old palace etc. We
then finally were
sightseeing to Patan Durbar
Square. Patan Durbar square
is one of the beautiful
Durbars square in Kathmandu
valley. It is very famous
for woodcarving, Metal
works, Temples and
Monasteries. Tour of Patan
includes tour of Krishna
temple, Patan king’s palace,
Golden temple and much more.
Days 03 :
We fly Kathmandu to Bhadrapur/Biratnagar and on
arrival at Bhadrpur/Biratnagar
airport meet our assist and
drive to Darjeeling.
Darjeeling (Place of the
Thunderbolt) has spectacular
scenery. Due to its altitude
of (2134m) and soothing
temperature in summers
Darjeeling has become a
famous hill resort in India.
If the weather is clear we
can enjoy the impressive and
unforgettable views of
Himalayas.
Days 04 :
Early in the morning we
drive to Tiger Hill
(around-11 km) to enjoy the
sunrise. Tiger hill (2590m.)
is the highest point in this
area. There is a
breathtaking view of the
sunrise on Kanchenjunga.
Mount Everest is also
visible on a clear day. The
moments of sunrise from
Tiger Hill are described by
most of the visitors as
unforgettable. In the
afternoon we explore
Darjeeling and its
surroundings. We visit the
village Lablong and the
institute of mountaineering
where we get the detailed
information about the
natural surrounding and the
habitants of this area.
Days 05 :
This day we drive in the
morning to Pemayangtse a
fascinating journey that
winds through steep climb
down through tea estates
across river Teesta. We
enter into west Sikkim
winding along the river
Rangit where panoramic view
of the Kanchenjunga and the
entire row of peaks are
awaited.
Days 06 :
Early in the morning we have
trek to Sangacholing
monastery where sunrise over
Kanchenjunga and the
adjoining peaks can be seen
on a clear day. After the
breakfast we pay a visit to
the Pemayangtse monastery,
it is one of the finest in
Skkim and the second oldest,
built in 1716. It is an
impressive and beautiful
building which houses the
unusual Sangdok Palri
"Temple of Heaven" which
contains a wooden figure
that took 7 years to carve
single handedly by the late
Dugzom rinpoche.
Days 07 :
In the morning after having
breakfast we leave Pemayangtse and drive to
Gangtok. The capital of
Sikkim 'Gangtok' lies on a
ridge overlooking the
Ranipool River. Gangtok
(High Hill) lies at an
altitude of (1760m.) The
mountains, especially from
Kanchenjunga range, surround
Gangtok. Upon arrival, you
will be transferred to the
hotel in Gangtok. In the
evening we visit the
Mountain Lake at Indo-China
border, which is the Tsomgo
Lake.
Days 08 : This day we visit Tsuk-La-Khang, the royal
chapel which is standing on
a high bridge. This is the
major place of worship and
has a large and impressive
collection of scriptures. We
also visit the institute of
cottage industries, which is
an attraction as a wide
range of local handicrafts
in Lepcha style are produced
here. Today we also drive to
the Enchey monastery. This
monastery is believed to be
200 years old. The monks of
this monastery belong to the
Mahayana Buddhism.
Days 09 :
This day we visit the unique
Research Institute of Tibetology on a
hilltop which was
established in 1958 to
promote research on Tibet
and Mahayana Buddhism. Here
we will see the biggest
collection of Tibetan
scripts and an excellent
collection of rare Tankhas,
bronze and cult objects. We
also visit orchid Sanctuary
which is lying south of the
institute. This sanctuary
contains over 450 indigenous
species. Sikkim is
considered paradise for
orchid lovers. After the
visit of sanctuary we walk
through the bazaar of
Gangtok through the area of
old palace.
Days 10 :
This day in the morning we
visit the Rumtek
monastery. Rumtek monastery
was built as a true copy of
a Tibetan monastery in
recent years. Rumtek is
headquartering of Red hat
sect of Tibetan Lamastic
Buddhism. After visiting
this monastery we drive to
Kalimpong. Kalimpong, a
remote hill station has been
a meeting point of the once
"Three closed lands" on the
trade route to Tibet. The
beautiful mountain scenery
and the abundance of flowers
have made Kalimpong an
attractive resort. The
lifestyle of the local
people reflects the social
and religious influences of
its neighboring nations,
Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. In
the evening arrive in
Kalimpong.
Days 11 :
In the morning after having
breakfast we visit the
monastery of Tharpa
Choeling at Tripai which
houses a library of Tibetan
manuscripts and Tankhas. It
belongs to the yellow Hat
sect. After visiting the
monastery we drive up to
Darpin Dara, the highest
point in Kalimpong with
superb views over the
plains.
Days 12 :
In the morning after having
breakfast we visit the
monastery of Tharpa
Choeling at Tripai which
houses a library of Tibetan
manuscripts and Tankhas. It
belongs to the yellow Hat
sect. After visiting the
monastery we drive to the
Bhadrapur airport to flight
to Kathmandu. On arrival in
Kathmandu transfer to the
hotel. The remainder of the
day has been left free.
Days 13 :
After breakfast we drive to Bhaktapur.
Bhaktapur is one of the
oldest cities in Kathmandu
valley. It is well known as
Living Museum. Old brick
paved enclave of old Royal
palace, Nyathapola Temple,
Datatriya temple exquisite
artwork offers a picture of
the grandeur of medieval
Nepal. It is very famous for
woodcarving and pottery
products. We then proceed on
tour of Changunarayan: This
is one of the oldest Hindu
temples in Kathmandu valley
that exists in the valley
dating back to the 4th
century then evening we
drive to Nagarkot. Nagarkot
is situated (2300m) above
the sea level. This spot
provides an excellent view
of the sunset and Mt.
Everest can be seen on a
clear day.
Days 14 :
Wake up early to watch the
sunrise spectacular down the
first rays of the sun firing
the peaks a hilliest red
slowly lighting of the
Himalayas from Kanchenjunga and
Everest in the far east of
Annapurna and Dhaulagiri in
the west. After breakfast
we'll drive to Dhulikhel.
Which is situated (1700m)
from sea level and 30-kms
north of Kathmandu? This is
perfect place to see the
sunset, sunrise & Himalayan
ranges. Afternoon enjoy the
optional activities such as
hiking to Navabouddha,
Buddhists call it "Tamangligi",
the famous Buddhist spot,
where Lord Buddha (on 7th
re-incarnation) sacrificed
his body to hungry Tigress
and its cubs then return to
hotel.
Days 15 :
Wake up call to see sunrise
and the Himalayan range.
After breakfast we drive to Pashupatinath
temple. The holiest of holy
Hindu temple in south Asia
is the focal point of
pilgrimage from all over the
sub-continent. The holy
river Bagmati flowing nearby
is the cremation ground of
the Hindus. Funeral pyres
can be viewed from across
the riverbank. We then visit
to Boudhanath stupa.
Probably the largest Stupa
in the world is also found
in Kathmandu valley the
great stupa of Boudhanath.
Again the omni-sighted eyes
of the Budha stare all the
directions. This Stupa is
the place of worship of
Tibetan Buddhists
predominantly. Evening drive
to hotel and you has free
evening for shopping to pick
up last minute souvenir.
Days 16 : After breakfast you
will have some free time
until the time to leave the
international airport for
your final departure.
